Would You Like to Be Able to Relax More?

It seems we’re all crazy busy on normal days yet with the holidays approaching, life gets even more hectic and stressful. Our ’to do’ lists get longer as we prepare for holiday gatherings, parties, decorating, shoppings, traveling. The list goes on and on.

Yet, I’d bet, in most cases, taking time to relax in these most stressful times is probably missing from our lists. I’ve already noticed that my classes at my gym are smaller while traffic everywhere is heavier. Talk about stress.

As I mentioned in a previous vlog, please put relaxation and ‘me time’ for self care on your calendar.

Take time to nourish and replenish yourself.

A wonderful way to relax is to spend time in nature, especially where water is flowing.  For some of us, watching the smooth surfaces of the ocean relaxes us while others prefer the soothing sounds of a stream, river or waterfall. Numerous studies by scientists around the globe prove the benefits water has for our whole body.

Here are 5 favorite nature relaxation tips:

1. Find a safe, quiet spot in nature to relax. Do your best to get away from people and their four legged buddies. (I ask my Divine Friends to help me find the perfect spot for me without other people around and They do).

2. Create a space of ‘no time.’ This means you can take all the time you need to allow and encourage your whole being to relax.

3. Turn off or at least mute your devices. Nothing like the ping of an incoming text interrupt the quiet and relaxing space you’ve created.

4. Be sure to close your eyes and allow the sounds of the water and nature to soothe you.

5. Breathe and receive. Imagine that your whole body is a sponge soaking up all the positive, high vibrations of nature and letting negativity flow away with the water.

After you spend some time in nature, notice the shift in your being and thank yourself and nature for what you’ve received.

No time to get out in nature? Then soak in a bath, shower or jacuzzi and let the water flow over you.

If you find yourself always taking care of everyone else and are feeling drained or exhausted, maybe even a little resentful — you can take one baby step in the right direction SIMPLY by taking an inspired action. And I am here for you! I’ve opened up my calendar, so we can schedule a time to chat.

Let me help you gain clarity on what you REALLY want, so you can already begin to feel clearer-minded and better about the path you are choosing to take, moving through the holidays. Email me at catherine@guidedchange.com and let me know you you want to chat before my calendar fills up. I can’t wait to chat with you. Sending you a big hug!
