Is Your Mind Your Best Friend or Your Worst Enemy?

Every human has the most amazing and super powerful, extraordinary supercomputer called the subconscious mind. Think about this. Your subconscious mind controls all your emotions, involuntary body functions like your heartbeat, holds your beliefs, habits and patterns, holds all your memories, dreams, body language, your energy and what motivates you and basically determines who you are.

Talk about powerful. It’s capacities are beyond any technology man can create.

The reason I share this with you is that most people don’t have any idea how powerful their subconscious minds are which is why most people continue to run, old, outdated programming they received before the age of 7 or 8.

When you become aware, heal and upgrade the programming in your subconscious mind, then it becomes your friend. However, when you continue to run on automatic pilot and expect things to change without changing the obsolete programming in your subconscious mind, it won’t work. It’s not that the subconscious wants to be your enemy, it simply hasn’t received the new manual for your upgraded system.

So what can you do to have your subconscious mind be your friend and allow your mind to fill up?

Hypnosis is a key way to do this and here are some ways to start:

1) Be positive – Speak positively to yourself with your own internal self talk and about yourself out loud. Focus on all the positives already in your life. Eliminate negative type words like: “no, can’t, don’t, must, have to, should, etc.” Expect positive outcomes. Repeat positive affirmations.

2) Be in the present moment as Eckhart Tolle and many spiritual teachers of many traditions have encouraged. Tolle said, “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.”

3) Stimulate your mind and your senses – The subconscious mind can act like a gifted teenager who doesn’t like to be told what to do and hates being BORED. Change things up in your environment and routine and stimulate your mind. Some suggestions are: crossword and other word puzzles, chess and other board games, learn a new language, take a course on a new subject, read, play along with tv shows like Jeopardy, watch The History Channel or Discovery Channel. P.S. Would you like to update the old, obsolete programs that are running your subconscious mind so old patterns of fear, doubt, anxiety, beliefs about lack and not being enough no longer weigh you down? If you’d like to get ‘unstuck’ from the old beliefs and habits held in your subconscious mind, then know I’m here for you.
