Does Your Heart Feel Empty?

Somehow when I thought about filling the heart to overflowing, I remembered an old song and nursery rhyme from childhood, “Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, think I’ll go eat worms . . .”

Even though in one particular moment you may feel abandoned and that no one loves or cares about you, that simply isn’t true. Each one of you has more people than you can count who care about you and want the best for you.

It’s also good to remember that a part of you, specifically your soul or inner self, always knows that you are lovable and loves you unconditionally.

However, in those moments when you’re feeling really crappy and all alone it can be hard to remember anyone loves you.

That’s why I love this tool I have for you today.

5 Easy Breezy Steps to Fill Your Heart with Love or The Love Boost!

1) Close you eyes. Let yourself take a few deep breaths and allow your body to relax.

2) Let yourself remember someone you know, someone from the past or any four legged animal friends who you know loved you unconditionally. They were always they for you no matter what, believed in you, and wanted you to be happy. This could be a grandparent, parent, aunt or uncle, neighbor, teacher, old friend, spouse, one of your children or a pet.

3) See that special person in your mind’s eye and feel all the love they have for you. Let yourself breathe it in. You may notice their smile, laugh or words of encouragement; you may hear their special bark or meow they use when they see you.

4) You can fill your heart up to overflowing with this one person or if you choose, think of others who loved you unconditionally.

5) When your heart feels full or at least closer to fullness and overflowing, allow yourself to open your eyes relaxed and filled with love.

Note: You can do this anytime or anywhere, as many times a day whenever you need a little or big Love Boost.
